Seeds - 2007

 

The Seed is what existed before there was life, it is also about the latent life in nature - it is willling to exist. Its condition is about what is yet to come, it is about complementarity, transformation and indeterminacy.

In this artistic occupation the seeds are thrown into the water, forced to awaken from their numbness, disturbing the embryo and its food reserve.

The transient and photographic experience seeks in the natural world for changes in the perceptions of the landscape, an understanding not of the image of nature, but an image of our relations with nature.
