All over again - 2005
This action was performed in a busy place, where people from the city of Divinopolis usually take a walk or meet friends in their free time. Posters were displayed with sentences that intended to cause reflection about deforestation and forest fire, so common in our country.
The burning and cutting the trees alter and devastate the ecosystems: they destroy the fauna and the flora; they make the soil poorer as they kill the microorganisms; and, by calcining the surface, they reduce the penetration of water in the subsoil.
From a wider point of view, the forest fires and deforestation are responsible for modifying the chemical composition of the atmosphere and, by extension, they influence in a negative way the climate changes on Earth, contributing for the increase of the greenhouse effect and, therefore, for the global warming.
