Activist Actions and Other Politics

 

From the art of occupation, the territory will certainly indicate how occupations in buildings, neighborhoods, streets, squares and other spaces will result in a more immediate mode of temporary manifestation of an unauthorized space / time. These practices denote precisely the refusal of the imposed political order and become positive forms of experimentation.

 

It has been through the aesthetics of resistance that many artist-activists have worked, reinterpreting the concept of "subjective city" (GUATTARI, 2014); reactivating the ordinary and intervening polysemically in the cultural and semiotic production of capitalism.

 

The aim of these strategies is almost always the attempt to recover urban space through poetic and ephemeral actions, the use of effective images and the use of cultural means in search of social change. The use of media tactics in the interventions, in the circuits of the galleries and in the official information systems, serve as a way to denounce local, national and world problems. Its main field of action is the city, which is a political and social territory.
